Reflecting his doctoral training at the Harvard Business School,
Professor Guptas research efforts have always been driven
by the following core values: work on the managerially important
problems, be intellectually rigorous, and strive to advance the
state of theory as well as the state of practice.
Professor Gupta is currently writing a new book titled The Battle
for China and India (coauthored with Haiyan Wang; expected publication
in 2008). He is the coauthor or coeditor of three books: Smart Globalization
(Jossey-Bass, 2003), Global Strategy and Organization (John Wiley,
2003), and The Quest for Global Dominance: Transforming Global Presence
into Global Competitive Advantage (Jossey-Bass, 2001).
Professor Gupta has published over 60 papers including several in
major journals such as Academy of Management Journal, Academy of
Management Review, Strategic Management Journal, Organization Science,
Sloan Management Review, Journal of Business Strategy, Academy of
Management Executive, Human Resource Management, Human Resource
Planning, Accounting, Organizations, and Society, Business Horizons,
Journal of Business Venturing, and Frontiers of Entrepreneurship
Research.
