Reflecting his doctoral training at the Harvard Business School,
Professor Guptas research efforts have always been driven
by the following core values: work on the managerially important
problems, be intellectually rigorous, and strive to advance the
state of theory as well as the state of practice.
Professor Gupta is the coauthor or coeditor of four books:

and India Right (Jossey-Bass/ John Wiley, February 2009),
The Quest for Global Dominance: Transforming Global Presence into
Global Competitive Advantage (Jossey-Bass/ John Wiley, March
2008 and 2001),
Smart Globalization (Jossey-Bass/ John Wiley, 2003), and
Global Strategy and Organization (John Wiley, 2003).
Professor Gupta has published over 70 papers including several in
major journals such as Academy of Management Journal, Academy of
Management Review, Strategic Management Journal, Organization Science,
Sloan Management Review, Journal of Business Strategy, Academy of
Management Executive, Human Resource Management, Human Resource
Planning, Accounting, Organizations, and Society, Business Horizons,
Journal of Business Venturing, and Frontiers of Entrepreneurship
