This research seminar focuses on the "Scope of the Enterprise"
i.e., why do firms have the boundaries that they do, why do change
their boundaries, how do they manage these changes, and how do they
manage the portfolio of activities embedded within an enlarged or
reduced boundary. More specifically, the course focuses on research
pertaining to the following topics: (a) firm diversification, (b)
globalization , (c) mergers and acquisitions, (d) strategic alliances.
